Greetings Friendsies! I hope this belated post finds you well, enjoying the golden sunshine of Autumn, and having a very jubilant 2016. How has it been over a year since I last wrote to you!? That is unimaginable, and yet, a year and three months have lapsed, and here I am, finally sitting down (making/taking some time) to do some blogging.

What a divine 2016 we have had! We have been so blessed with our fifty (yes, exactly 50!) brides this year. We are coming to the end of our season, a handful of weddings left, and finally I have a minute to sit and look back on the wonderful Spring and Summer season we have oh so enjoyed! Taryn, our amazing Beauty Dream Team, and I have loved every minute of this season. We have had so much fun creating an abundance of different looks for you all, and have had so much fun striving to perfectly enhance the beauty God gave you, all while putting a special spin on each look, just for you. How blessed we are to call many of you friends now! We truly love you all!

We are all looking forward to the 2017 season, just over the horizon. Each season brings changes; whether it be style and fashion, new opportunities, or a new way of doing things. We are excited for the future, and for our seventh (yes, 7th) season!

With changes in mind, I am especially enjoying the change in the season here, at my home in the country. With Summer somewhat over, (though I am enjoying the random hot days here and there as another opportunity to take a dip in the pool) and the holidays right around the corner, here are some things I am enjoying now…

As far as my beauty routine goes, in Autumn I tend to start fading out bronzer, and only using a liquid foundation on my T-Zone (blended out). With the changes in the weather, I often change my makeup routine, using one to three “punch-packing” products to keep it simple… So that I can stay in my warm bed just 5 minutes longer…

-Glossy Red Lips… The perfect pop for a paired down makeup look to transition into a cool-weather makeup routine…

-Triple Coats of Top and Bottom Mascara… The perfect eye to complement a pared-down makeup look…

-In-N-Out, topsy-turvy, hair styles… so quick yet fun as a ponytail or a half up style...

-Extra shiny, high-gloss hair, styled straight....

-Josie Maran’s Argan Oil… after my serum and before my night cream, for extra-moisturizing power during this season of allergies…

As a self-proclaimed “lover of food,” I also love the changing of the seasons and the produce that follows. Some of my favorite transitional Summer-Autumn Recipes…

-Crunchy pomegranate seed, shaved brussel sprout, scallion and blue cheese salad with a light honey mustard dressing…

-Harvest quiche loaded with squash from the garden...

-Roasted vine-ripened tomatoes in everything (I especially enjoy them tossed with rice in the last minutes of cooking, tossed into a kale caesar salad (my mom’s recipe below!), or used in “caprese with a twist…”

-Pumpkin-spice protein shakes (4 oz coconut water, 4 oz coconut milk, vanilla protein powder, a generous plop of pumpkin, and a heavy sprinkle of pumpkin spice and whirrrr)…

-Soups for days! Always loaded with Kale and Garlic…

-Fresh picked Zucchini for loaf bread, find a recipe with Greek Yogurt for a loaf so moist you won’t want to share!

I am also loving the crisp night breeze meandering through a cracked window, cozying up in bed with a fuzzy blanket (finally!) and slipping into my uggs and one of my husband’s flannels every morning to keep warm. And of course a sprinkling of Autumn décor throughout the house, and a seasonal candle for ambiance…

Oh Autumn, I love you!

Happy Fall to you all! Let me know if you have any questions, beauty, hair,

or fall-recipe related!

Sharing Sparkles and Smiles…
