CaliPaso is such an impressive venu. Not only is it large and accommodating, it has a truly unique, old- world,Tuscan feel. Shannon's look, dark brows, screen siren platinum blonde hair, and sapphire eyes, really inspired us to create a unique look for her. After we were finished with her styling, and Blake brought her out into the courtyard at CaliPaso, I swear I could close my eyes and imagine everything in black and white. Everything was the perfect combo for a romantic b&w 1930s-40s classical film. With so many textures and light reflecting crystal details, this story can be told equally as beautifully in black & white as in color... And Blake certainly captured it magnificently...

The Dress: Elizabeth procured the perfect gown. Simple, sleek, yet detailed and specific all at the same time. The dress immediately felt relevant for Shannon's look. The column shape came alive with the intricate gathering and structure of the bust and bodice area, and it felt more modernized by the exaggerated deep V of the bust, which drew the perfect amount of attention to the decolletage with beautiful crystal beading.

The Bling: Again Elizabeth nailed it. These pieces feel like they are straight out of screen-siren, actress, Mae West's jewelry box. However, at the same time they could also easily be worn with a boho-look as well.

The Bouquet: The bouquet Brooke created plays a leading role in the look. The bouquet is full of such life, and such different textures and colors. The red roses keep the bouquet feeling classic, while the greenery freshens it up. The blue of the berries and the flowers compliment Shannon's eyes.

The Backdrop: The Tuscan CaliPaso Courtyard. The fountain is so romantic, and holds so many stories... How many pennies have been cast into the clear waters with wishes, how many kisses have been stolen sitting on the ledge...

Hair and Makeup: Screen siren pin curls, set, sprayed and teased. A nude lip keeps the look modern and not costumey. Dark, arched, brows pay homage to Jean Harlow and Ginger Rogers. And the look is completed with a heavy dose of eyeliner, and shadows in tones of corals and nudes to deepen Shannon's sapphire eyes.

Ciao!
