My job is so rewarding because the connections I have with my clients are so intimate. I have the opprotunity to make a difference, to create something, and of course I love bridal hair and makeup; which is my speciality. I breathe bridal hair and makeup. I love mixing my energy and joy with the brides.
I feel so satisfied after a day of work, and I don't think there are many people who can say that, sadly.
I would consider myself the ultimate SLOcal girl- a mix of beachy fresh, wine country elegance, girl-next-door femininty, with a splash of vintage Barbie. I would love to assist you with your event,
and share a little sparkle with you.
I am a SLOcal, a San Luis Obispo Local.
After highschool I attended FIDM, the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, in Los Angeles, and graduated in 2005. I dabbled in the fashion industry, and loved it. But I knew I wanted more. I wanted to work on a more personal level with clients.
I left Los Angeles and moved back to San Luis Obispo,
did some world traveling,
and explored a couple other professions before I found myself craving the need to
be creative again.
I enrolled in cosmetology school and immediately knew I had found my calling.
Cutting and shaping hair was the most natural thing for me. I love that my job is so artistic, but that my canvas is human. I also love hair coloring, because it is so scientific, yet also creative.
I am a huge science nerd too, and I love knowing and sharing about chemical reactions, the scientific structure of hair, and more.
