January Makeover: Renee Weber, Mom-preneur
For my January makeover, I had the supreme pleasure of working with Renee Weber, of “I Do” Weddings and Events. We met last year, at a fun wedding industry mixer. She was glowing, fabulously pregnant, and festively sipping juice out of a wine glass.
I immediately liked her. She has a way of pulling you in, she is very warm, and incredibly comfortable to be around.
When she applied for the January makeover, I knew she was the one.
Renee had focused on her new baby for the later half of 2014, and was ready to refocus on herself. I loved that. She is a self described “mom”preneur, as she has two little boys, and a growing wedding planning business.
Knowing that Renee was juggling multiple things throughout her day, including but not limited to, preschool runs, business meetings, and mothering a young baby, we agreed she needed a style that, while being quick and effortless, would still be beautiful and sophisticated. Something “wash and go” was key on her busiest days, but a style that also had the right structure to curl and style easily. We also wanted to go with a color that felt natural, but a little spunky. We ended up with long layers cut to work with her naturally wavy hair, and a 3 color highlight, mostly fine, but a few chunks for added “spunk.”

For Renee's makeup look, she wanted something natural, yet feature-popping. We began with Arbonne's primer, and foundation, which give a perfectly natural finish, and also has an airbrush-lightness quality to it. We decided on a a very natural smokey eye in shades of plum. The plum turned Renee's light brown eyes a fiery shade of hazel. In keeping with the natural look, we opted for a cocoa kohl liner, and smudged it out for that smokey, yet still natural, effect. We lightly filled in her brows, and contoured her cheeks with a touch of Arbonne's bronzer and finished the cheekbones with a dusting of blush. To keep with the plum theme, we filled in Renee's pout with Arbonne's Rum Raisin liner, and topped it with Raisin lip polish.
Ashley Furtado Photography perfectly captured the completed look.
Voila! Makeover + new head shots = bring it on 2015!!
